Below the city is a hidden world of warrens through which hurtle electric trains. In unused parts of this uncanny space subcultures dwell. The ravers, urban explorers, clandestine fight clubs, drug users, sex workers, the homeless, disenfranchised and even the horrific. There is such a plethora beneath our streets that we can only assume there is something more!

Cinematic City is a collection of street photographs taken by the author to represent film stills. These antagonise the viewer into creating a narrative around the image.

As a child I played a game with my mother making backstories about strangers. Cinematic City is an evolution of this.
