He sits there in the centre of one of the cities busiest streets. Appearing to be reading or doing a crossword from time to time, is he secretly observing? Is he just hawking music and concert tickets? Or is there something more?

Cinematic City is a collection of street photographs taken by the author to represent film stills. These antagonise the viewer into creating a narrative around the image.

As a child I played a game with my mother making backstories about strangers. Cinematic City is an evolution of this.
